The University of South Florida contracted access to SelectedWorks to provide faculty with the tools to easily build and maintain their own professionally designed websites. Individual scholarly websites enables authors to share their articles, presentations, etc. while maintaining control of the dissemination of their work. Above and below the Web of Science search results display, a "Save to RefWorks" button has been added. This feature immediately opens RefWorks. Look for the link to RefWorks at the bottom of your Web of Science results screen
EndNote and EndNote Web. EndNote is an application that runs on your computer. EndNote Web is web-based and it's FREE. Both versions do many of the same things (save citations, create bibliographies automatically in Microsoft Word, etc) but have some differences. Here's a neat little chart that shows the differences

It's plastered pretty much everywhere. It looks like this most of the time:
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: center;">
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: center;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">When you click on it, it prompts you to enter a name and question, and then we answer it through a live chat. It's pretty neat, really, and we get a lot of traffic this way.
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: center;">One thing I like to point out when I tell classes about this service: It really is us! During the highest traffic hours during the day, a USF librarian is sitting in the chat room. When I do my chat hour on Tuesdays, I usually get 5-6 questions. That might not sound like a lot, but chat questions take longer to answer than email or phone questions, so it keeps me pretty busy.
<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: center;">

<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif; text-align: center;">Beginning on October 25th, we started offering text messages as one of the ways you can contact us. There is a dedicated USF number for our texts, and we'll receive it just like an email question. When we reply, it will automatically be sent to you as a text. I'm pretty excited to see how it works out - it sounds like a really great idea, but sometimes it takes a while for stuff like this to catch on.
Susan Silverhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00355526269453019068noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5993795283210953495.post-58684249762787998132010-10-29T08:04:00.000-07:002011-06-28T10:21:44.023-07:00Welcome!<div style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS",sans-serif;">Welcome to my blog!
